About
Dalasounds studio was originally established, for private use, during 1999 in Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2002 the studio was relocated to Queens, New York. Over the following years, owner & engineer John Dalagelis received requests to work on projects for artists from different backgrounds and disciplines. Producing, mixing, engineering and mastering for a diverse clientele from around the globe became an every day task, handling projects of varying scopes. In 2007 the studio was relocated to Athens, Greece. In 2011, the studio expanded its operations and has been used regularly by John for teaching purposes (sound synthesis, equalizers, filters, effect units, dynamic processors, electronic music production).
Now located in the heart of Berlin, Germany, Dalasounds studio offers high quality professional music production, engineering, recording, editing, mixing & mastering services on a broader scale and to an elite customer-base including record labels, artists, distributors, TV & Film production companies and online services in both the analog and digital domains.

Formally educated, degree certified in sound engineering and in recording arts, John Dalagelis has also been an instructor at the Electronic Music Production (EMP) course at SAE Institute. His twenty years of experience in sound engineering and his coveted production, mixing and mastering skills have made him the go-to choice for several electronic music artists and record labels. His list of clients and past projects as a producer, mixing and/or mastering engineer, is nothing short of impressive having worked on numerous singles/EPs, artist albums and mixed compilations.
John has engineered various projects for legendary names such as Depeche Mode and Moby, as well as for house/techno veterans such as Carl Cox, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia and Josh Wink, to name a few. He has been the mastering engineer for the majority of releases on John Digweed's “Bedrock Records” since 2011 and Nicole Moudaber's “Mood Records” since 2016. He was also heavily involved in the production, engineering, programming, editing, mixing and mastering process on projects such as Chris Fortier's “Balance 007” compilation (2005), Dave Seaman's “The Master Series 14” Renaissance compilation (2009) as well as on “It Is What It Is” artist album on Bedrock Records by Stelios Vassiloudis (2011).
